The Syrian British Consortium (SBC) is an advocacy organisation that acts as an umbrella for the Syrian community in the UK and endeavours to promote just peace and democratic governance in Syria.

The Syrian British Consortium (SBC) is a not-for-profit organisation (company limited by guarantee, No: 11582740) and was formally registered in September 2018. Its work is executed by a small team of employees and community volunteers and is sustained through monthly contributions and donations from its supporters.

The Role

We are seeking a creative and motivated Content Creator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, advocacy, and digital communication, with a strong ability to produce impactful written and visual content.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping SBC’s public voice and strengthening its social media presence through engaging, high-quality content.

Person Specifications:

1. Fluent in Arabic.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. Experience in creating social media content (written and visual/graphic design).
4. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
5. Flexible and adaptable in working hours. (If needed)

Expected Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design, create and edit engaging and audience-focused visual content (short videos, social media graphics, posters).
2. Collaborate with the Board of Directors and executive team to deliver timely and relevant content.
3. Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across all platforms.
4. Contribute ideas to enhance SBC’s digital outreach and advocacy impact.
