Dar Justice, represented by Sema Nassar from its investigations team, participated in the Rome Forum on Transitional Justice for Syrian Women Leaders, held on 30 June – 1 July 2025 in Rome, Italy, co-organized by the Center for Justice and Accountability (CJA) and My Justice Center.

The closed dialogue brought together a select group of Syrian women leaders active in the fields of justice, human rights, and civil society, aiming to develop strategies to enhance women’s participation and amplify their voices in Syria’s transitional justice processes.

Sema Nassar facilitated the session “Tools and Mechanisms for Women’s Participation in Transitional Justice”, which focused on how women can influence truth commissions, complaint mechanisms, and documentation efforts.

The second day of the forum concluded with practical recommendations and actionable plans to strengthen women’s roles in transitional justice and peacebuilding in Syria, ensuring that their voices remain central in shaping the country’s democratic future.
